12" tall. This vase is a form I have made a few times. It is inspired by early art nouveau pottery from eastern Europe. House of Amphora, late 1800's. The early art nouveau forms were very odd, unusual and very organic. This one has 6 handles pulled off the rim. The vase was formed on the potters wheel then altered by pushing and stretching. The "toes" were added and sculpted by hand as well.  I took many photos trying to capture the opalescence in this glossy cobalt blue. Then I stepped into the other room to put it back on the shelf and got surprised. Lighting...just another detail...
