The Blue Flower Pattern is the functional ware that we have made a living with since 1984. Stoneware is naturally microwave and oven safe. The glazes we use are food safe, made to be used. Our kids earned money during their high school years with piece work. At that time it was all we made. It is still very popular. Not all forms are represented. We do some commission work. Plates and dinnerware sets are usually ordered. Over the years the clay and glazes have changed a bit largely because of the material sources. We changed from a brown clay to a buff. Large mines that dig for the minerals we use will shift into different areas of the quarries and changes in composition makes changes in results.
There are many variables in working with ceramics. After 50 plus years, I am still learning.
